अखिलेश यादव के मुख्यमंत्री बनने की सुगबुगाहट के साथ ही उन्हें मीडिया ने सलाह देना शुरू कर दिया है। उन्हें फर्स्ट पोस्ट ने सलाह दी है कि राहुल द्रविड़ की तरह बैटिंग करना। महाभारत की तरह अखिलेश को पहला विरोध घर के भीतर से ही झेलना पड़ा है। आज इंडियन एक्सप्रेस के एसपी वर्सेज एसपी शीर्षक सम्पादकीय में अखिलेश को सलाह दी गई है कि कानून व्यवस्था को सुधारना होगा। सम्पादकीय में लिखा है कि  The emasculation of the superintendent of police was a defining feature of the last Mulayam government.
